At VIKY, your privacy is paramount. We believe in privacy-first design principles.
Browser tools
Converters, encoders, and generators that run in the page process files in your browser. Those files are not uploaded.
Account features
Some features store data on VIKY servers so they keep working after you close the page. Dynamic QR codes store the destination and scan statistics. PDF hosting stores the file with Backblaze B2 so a link can serve it. Background removal uploads the image to the VIKY image service. Signing in uses Google, Microsoft, GitHub, or Apple. Paid plans are billed by Stripe.
Cookies & Local Storage
After you sign in, the browser keeps a session token in local storage so account pages can call the API. QR scan statistics are stored with the QR code on the server, not only in the browser.
Third-Party Services
Browser-only tools do not send file contents to a third party. Sign-in, payments, and PDF storage use Google, Microsoft, GitHub, Apple, Stripe, and Backblaze B2 for the features named above.
Your Rights
You can delete account data (QR codes, hosted PDFs, and the account itself) from the account pages. Data that never left a browser-only tool is removed by clearing that browser’s site data.
